Julia Panek is a choreographer and certified professional dancer, and the first Polish Trainee to study at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. It is a globally renowned dance school educating the most talented dancers selected from all over the world. Julia learns from internationally recognized faculty, including dancers who have been or currently are performing on Broadway, choreographers of Broadway shows, as well as dancers and choreographers working alongside top American music artists.
Julia began her dance training on the stages of Polish, European and World Championships of the IDO federation. She then joined the Cracow Dance Academy (Niepubliczna Krakowska Szkoła Sztuki Tańca L’Art de la Danse), which she graduated with outstanding results in the state diploma examination, obtaining the title of a professional dancer in Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary. Julia perfected her dance skills both in Poland and abroad. She completed several international training programs including: Millennium Dance Complex Summer Intensive in Los Angeles, Broadway Dance Center Summer Intensive in New York City, Performing Arts Studios Summer Program in Munich, or De Dutch Don’t Dance Division Summer Course at the Korzo Theater in The Hague.
In April of 2023 Julia received the offer of admission with a merit-based scholarship to the 4-year Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Julia trains in many different dance styles, including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Broadway Jazz, Street Jazz and Hip Hop. She also participates in academic BFA courses and university lectures organized in cooperation with the New Jersey City University.
Choreography is an extremely important part of Julia's artistic identity. Her original works are presented and appreciated internationally. In 2022, she was invited to collaborate with the Chicago-based company Ballet 5:8, where she created the original choreography “The Question.” In July 2023, she won the bronze medal at the Dance World Cup Finals in Braga, Portugal, presenting her neoclassical choreography “Synesthesia.” In 2025, she was selected to participate in the prestigious National Choreography Intensive as an Emerging Choreographer. During this two-week choreographic residency organized by Regional Dance America she worked with over 80 dancers on 10 new, original, choreographies, which were performed every evening on the Wright State University theater stage.
Julia finds great joy and fulfillment in sharing her passion with others, dedicating herself to the growth and development of children, youth, and adults through dance. She currently collaborates with numerous dance schools across Poland, leading workshops that inspire and empower dancers of all ages throughout the country.
